At Mango Hill State School we are implementing the national curriculum in all learning areas including English, Mathematics, Science, HASS, health and physical education, the arts (including visual arts, drama, music, dance and media), LOTE (Italian in Prep-Year 6) and technology.

Specialists teachers are employed to deliver lessons in performing arts, physical education, Italian (LOTE) and STEM (integrated science and technology units). The curriculum overview for each term can be found in the related links to the right.

A range of excursions and incursions are utilised to provide opportunities to consolidate and extend the learning. Students in Prep to Year 3 participate in a Learn to Swim program. Year 2 students participate in this program during Term 1 while our Prep, Year 1 and Year 3 students in Term 4 each year to support the HPE curriculum. Students in Year 4-6 participate in a swimming carnival in Term 4 and a yearly camp.

We aim to create a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all students and their families. Each year, we teach sexuality education, respectful relationships and child safety in all year levels from Prep - Year 6.  With the support of the P&C Association, class teachers teach the program guided by the resources in Catching On Early Program and the Daniel Morcombe Child Safety program as part of their health curriculum.

A parent information booklet outlines the content to be covered in the lessons in each year level and the resources used. This is emailed to all families at the end of Term 3 and is available on our website  from the end of Term 3.  If you wish to receive a hard copy of the lessons, please let your child's teacher know or collect from the office. Parent consent is required for your child to participate in this program.
